Summer/Fall 2024 Newsletter

Celebrating a Summer of Successes

As the long, warm days of summer pass and we head into Fall, there is so much to be grateful for. We start each of our team meetings by sharing our highlights from the past week. We’ve had so much success to celebrate over the summer that we thought we would start our newsletter in the same way!

Over the summer our team slowed down to focus on rest, play, and connection. Community group offerings slowed down and education events were paused. We still got the opportunity to spend time with our community at two Summer Social Events. Of course, 1:1 coaching stayed available to anyone who needed it.

We are responding to the needs of our community, identified in our annual Community Feedback Survey, to update our communications and offerings for the Fall! The survey received good responses, and we were able to do a draw to give away one of two books to 4 people community members who participated. Thank you to those who took the time to fill out the survey.

As a small organization, we were thrilled that our supporters came together to raise over $1000 in our first-ever fundraising campaign. We are also so grateful to Health Nexus for choosing to fund us for another year, enabling us to offer FASD education and resources to our community. If you know of any grant opportunities that align with Never Too Late (NTL)’s work or values, we would love to hear about them.

Nine service providers from six different agencies joined us over the last year for a pilot offering of a Service Provider Training. The training was a great success, and we are looking to re-start the training with new service providers in November. There are more details below if you are interested or know someone who might be interested.

You can find more information about each of these highlights in the News & Updates section. Of course, as we grow, we are also meeting many challenges and learning from our experiences.

Finally, we’re excited to be starting up our Human Onboarding Training for the Fall 2024 Season and would like to invite you to participate. Human is the term Never Too Late (NTL) uses for the role of caregiver/parent. Regardless of the words used, Humans are unpaid, life long, safe, unconditional supportive connections.

Here is a very brief overview of the process:
